Tilt or movement that lasts less than 1 second will not be counted as movement by the device. When movement is detected, it is then analysed by the unit and if the threshold is crossed, an alarm will be generated.
Tilt or movement more than 4° on the x or y axis will constitute as movement.
X Axis | Y Axis | Z Axis
The device detects movement using gravity therefore if the device is moved slowly along the z axis, but kept perfectly level, it will not detect tilt.
As shown in fig a, when the device is triggered the blue LED will light up. | If the device has been triggered and has not been left to stabilise and recalibrate it’s ‘Home Position’, it cannot be triggered again. | As shown above in fig c, once the device has recalibrated to it’s ‘Home Position’ again and the green LED flashes; it can be triggered again. |
The “Home Position” is the installation position of the device. Once a “Home Position” has been determined, and confirmed by the device, if the device is moved, it will signal to the panel and if the system is armed, will go into alarm.
The Green LED will flash twice rapidly and then one long flash to indicate it has recalibrated its “Home Position”.
The device will calibrate and confirm it’s at the “Home Position” after the following cases:
The device can be relocated wherever the user sees fit when the system is disarmed.
When the device is moved it will flash blue to indicate an alarm however, if the system is disarmed, it will not react.
To set a new home position,
If the device is left stationary for 12 seconds, the device will recalibrate the accelerometer to the new position and this will now be the “Home Position”. This can be any orientation, at any angle, as shown below.
