PRODUCT IMPROVEMENTS: DELTABELL Base Modifications

Background

In our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, we have implemented certain modifications across all our Deltabell bases, and a small change to our Deltabell modules.

Previously, the tamper switch, responsible for safeguarding the cover and base, was situated within the module that is inserted into the base. The most recent improvement relocates the tamper switch from the module to the base itself.

This change ensures that if the Deltabell is forcibly removed from its surface, the tamper mechanism will detach from the base, triggering an alarm. Additionally to this, there is no adjustment screw resulting in an increased stable connection between surface and back tamper switch

The transition period

Until existing stock of Deltabell bases and modules is exhausted, there will be a possibility of receiving older model designs.

Due to this, we will be including a new tamper switch and holder with both the updated base models and the modules. This is to ensure a seamless installation process, regardless of the Deltabell base and module combination you receive.

During this transition period, the combination will fall into one of the three categories.

New base, new module

Follow the new assembly instructions.

New base, old module

First, remove the existing tamper switch from the module, and then proceed to follow the new assembly instructions.

Old base, old module

Proceed with the product installation using the previously established procedure.

After the transition period

After confirming that all existing stock has been fully depleted, we will proceed to remove the tamper switch and its holder from the Deltabell base. Subsequently, these components will only be included in shipments alongside the modules themselves.

Compatibility

The new Deltabell X Lightbox is compatible with all previous Deltabell X modules.

Part numbers which will be changed

There has been a slight change to partcodes, which can be seen below:

• DELTA-BDB – Blue Dummy Base
• DELTA-BDR – Red Dummy Base
• DELTA-BDG – Green Dummy Base
• DELTA-BDW – White Dummy Base
• DELTA-BDA – Amber Dummy Base
• DELTA-BDBK – Black Dummy Base

Availability

The new Deltabell base and modules will be filtering through distribution over the coming months.
